New birth to the same blog in the new year =)

BOO! it has indeed been a LONG LONG LONG LONG time since i last posted, mainly due to my all extremely laziness during the extremely short holiday, which i went out lots, and failed to complete my holiday homework (which i still havent complete btw, need to finish by monday!)

okay, so here i am, going to restart blogging again, hopefully i can blog once a day, or once two days from now on, and i shall now try to be less lazy.

now lets go into the happening things recently (in my life), well, the most outstanding one would be the OBS trip to pulau ubin, which ended just yesterday, a lot of things happened, so i shall do a DETAILED recount of almost everything =)

DAY 1:
We arrived at pulau ubin, on a fishing boat look-alike kind of boat, but it was sheltered lah, so it wasnt that bad, we reached the place, then the first thing that we saw was this ship, and the first image that ship protrayed to some of us was the "black pearl" in pirates of the carribean, which was quite cool x)

then after we arrived, there was this guy, who self-introed to us as the course director, and apprently he thinks that he should ehh, ensure that his power is recognised, so he made sure that we understood that if there are any displinary problems, we'll go down to his office "to have a small talk over a cup of coffee". well yah, that's basically all i remembered from whatever he said. we met our instructor after that, not sure how to spell her name, it's pronounced as deth-fin-nee, so yah, basically we did all the activities for the past 5 days with her lah.

then that we had lunched, and finished unpacking and got ready and all those stuff, we went down to this place with "one for all, all for one" on the wall, and waited for the other half of the class ( our class is split into two groups called watches, and named as (lim) bo seng and kurt (dunno what/who) ), this was very important, as that was like the only time which we waited for kurt, as all other times they were much faster (more organised, coz they've got scouts like jeremy and wee kian, while our group got people like me, dixon, thomas), so yah, after half an hour or so of waiting, they finally arrived, so we got together as a class, and had some photo taking (seperate watches, show you all the photos next time), and after that, was out FIRST real activity of the day, kayaking.

deth-fin-nee taught us how to row the kayak, and then we splited into threes and twos, those in threes got this thing called the "tri-yak", which was meant for three people, and due to the fact that i'm not really a strong swimmer by nature, so i teamed with dixon and junlin and took a tri-yak, as it was not as easily capsized as the one for two people, and easier to flip back if capsized. and with that, we set off =)

the kayaking was probably one of the most fun activities for the entire obs journey, we kayaked for quite a long distance, to this small island called crab island, and kayaked to another place (i forgot where) then kayaked back to camp 1. at first our kayak went at quite a fast speed (first or second), coz me and dixon both chionged with brute strength, UNTIL about the middle part we got tired and started resting, then our kayak slowed down to like among the last few, then junlin kept complaining that the two of us were slacking xp but no choice lah, i got backache, then damn pain so needed to stretch =/ then cannot row le lor =X

okay so that was fun, after that we had dinner, and showered, or showered and had dinner, forgot =/ anyway, the dinner that night was at the cookhouse (canteen), and it was such that the dishes was rationed, while we can take as much rice as we wanted. so everyone took LOTS of rice as we were all starving to the point of almost death, so the food ended up to be quite dry =/. i had to eat it with erm, lots of soup and drinks =P but overall the food wasnt that bad lah =)

then come the end of the day, when we needed to sleep. but where? sadly (or actually quite interastingly) it wasnt the bunks that we're staying in, we had to set up our own bashirs (self made tents, not sure if it's spelt like that) with two poles and nylon strings and peds and this pasar malam-like sheet, and ground sheets. LUCKILY we had scouts like jeremy and wee kian and yanwei to guide us to set it up (jeremy did mainly all the work coz the rest of us had no idea of how to tie the knots, so yah, he set up almost everything from that day on =X) so finally, we got it up, somehow =) and then we went to sleep, unluckily for us, we barely had an hour of sleep, it started pouring at 12+ to 1, and due to the incapablilty of handling such an incident, all of us ran over to the shelter as our bashirs were all flooded =/ and i fell asleep on this chair and table which you can find in a school canteen that kind, and after an hour or so an instrcutor came and woke all of us up, and said we cant sleep here then sent us back to our bunks =/ so lucky us, we got to sleep under the roof for about 3 hrs or so =) then come the next day =D

so that's about it for day 1, at that day i thought it was quite tiring already, but the worst has yet to come xp due to some time constrains right about now, i shall continue this OBS recount in the next post, most fun (and horrible) things coming up later or tomorrow x) so yah, will talk about day 2 soon x)

okay, gtg now, will blog again real soon, start tagging people! x)

to end off this post, i shall add in a quote which i learn from this OBS.

"Nothing is impossible, but it may be TOUGH xp" (suppose to be funny if you heard it in our context during obs" x) )
